What Happens at the Precise Moment of Death?

Most people never get to answer this question until they are on the other side. Psychologist, parapsychologist Wanda Pratnicka, Ph.D., and author of bestselling book Possessed by Ghosts - Exorcisms in the 21st Century shares with us her findings based on 45 years of research.

Not everybody realizes they have died. Just like in the movie The Sixth Sense where Bruce Willis’ character missed his own death, there are many souls who think they are still alive. These people can be friends or relatives who have passed away. Many of these souls either don’t know they are dead, or don’t believe they have died. It is as if they are living in a dream-like state.

At the moment of death, we have the choice to pass on over to the Light, although many people choose not to do so. They may be afraid of punishment for what they did during their lifetime, they may not believe in God, or they may be concerned for the wellbeing of living relatives so don’t want to let go.

The moment of death might be compared to a train station. Anyone who thinks that they are worthy of entering heaven get a free ticket. Everyone else stays behind in the station concourse. The train departs leaving a crowd of ghosts in the concourse who simply do not know what to do with themselves. This is where the problems can begin. Quite often these people did not catch ‘the train’ because of things they were regretful for, feeling guilty about or fearing punishment of some kind. Many of these souls were also very attached to earthly matters so did not want to leave their home, their business or material possessions.
